Founded in 1965. Still in the Same Building.
Three generations of the same family, and one address, have watched Norwood grow from a factory town into the community it is today.
Founded in a Factory Town
Philip Macchi, Sr. opened his practice in 1965, when Norwood was still very much a factory town. Over the decades that followed, the area grew into the vibrant, mixed-use community it is today, and the firm had a hand in nearly every major development along the way, shepherding projects from concept to opening day and beyond.
The office is still in the same brick building that Phil Sr.'s father, a local factory worker, built by hand. The neighborhood around it has changed almost beyond recognition, the firm hasn't moved.
A Second Generation Takes Up the Practice
Phil Macchi began working part-time at the firm while still in law school, and became a full partner in 2004. Over the two decades since, he has built on his father's foundation, bringing the firm's practice into the 21st century while cultivating a reputation for legal excellence throughout the community.
Through it all, he's remained known to clients, town officials, and opposing counsel alike as down to earth and approachable, rather than a downtown lawyer parachuting into a local matter.
Continuing Evolution
Macchi & Macchi is busier than ever, and is currently expanding its staff and its operations to meet the evolving needs of new and longstanding clients.
