Macchi & Macchi, LLC is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnification, or voice control. Accessibility is part of how we serve good neighbors, and we treat it as ongoing work rather than a box to check.
Our conformance target
This site is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines are published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and are the standard most commonly referenced under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) for public accommodations in the United States.
What we have built in
The following measures are active across every page of this site:
- Keyboard access. Every link, button, form field, and menu can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone. A visible focus ring follows your position, and it is designed to stay visible against light and dark backgrounds alike.
- Skip to content. A skip link appears when you first press Tab, letting you jump past the navigation straight to the page content.
- Colour contrast. Body text, headings, buttons, and form borders were measured against their actual backgrounds and meet or exceed the Level AA contrast thresholds. Colour is never the only way information is conveyed.
- Text resizing. Content reflows cleanly when text is enlarged up to 200 percent, and the layout adapts down to a 320 pixel wide screen without horizontal scrolling.
- Reduced motion. If your device is set to reduce motion, animations and smooth scrolling are switched off automatically.
- Headings and landmarks. Pages use a correct heading order and labelled regions, so screen reader users can navigate by structure instead of reading line by line.
- Forms. Every field has a visible label. If something is missing or mistyped, the error is described in words next to the field, your entries are preserved, and the message is announced rather than shown only as a colour change.
- Touch targets. Buttons and navigation links are sized for comfortable use on a phone or tablet, and for people with limited fine motor control.
Known limitations
We would rather tell you where the gaps are than claim there are none:
- Portable Document Format (PDF) downloads. Some of our practice area summaries and attorney biographies are offered as PDF files that predate this site. Not all of them are fully tagged for screen readers. Every one of them duplicates content that is already available as regular web text on this site, and we are remediating the files as they are next revised.
- Embedded map. The location map on our contact page is supplied by a third party and we do not control its internal accessibility. Our full street address and phone number are always available as plain text next to it, and written directions are available on request.
Tell us if something does not work
If you run into a barrier on this site, we want to hear about it, and we will help you get the information another way in the meantime. Please tell us the page you were on, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology or browser you were using, if you know it.

How we keep this current
Accessibility is reviewed whenever we add or substantially change a page, using a combination of automated checking, keyboard-only testing, and screen reader spot checks. This statement is revised at the same time. The date at the bottom of this page reflects the most recent review.
